Cinemascape (formerly known as Aidan McMullan Upholstery) was established in Banbridge, Co. Down, N. Ireland in 1977 by Aidan McMullan.
Much of the firm’s early work involved the manufacturing of a range of products including chesterfield suites, foot stools and bar and lounge seating. Cinema seating, however, was set to become a major aspect of the business with the first contract to re-cover seating in the Iveagh Cinema in Banbridge soon being followed by other contracts with cinemas and cinema multiplexes. As the market for cinema seating grew, and with a greater demand for innovation in design and comfort, Aidan realised the potential of concentrating on this area. As well as seating manufacturing additional services were added including the fitting of wall acoustic solutions (drapes and fabric wall panels), vinyl and carpets, screen and screen frames.
In 1998 to link in with the relocation of the firm’s factory premises, the company formerly known as “Aidan McMullan Upholstery” was renamed “Cinemascape”. The business began to focus on the cinema and auditorium fit out sector and other similar works and venues. Throughout the years Cinemascape have formed strong long lasting working relationships with a vast number of clients. Cinemascape believe this is due to the knowledgeable and skilled service they offer throughout the whole construction process.
“We have confidence that the products and service we provide are unrivalled within the cinema fit-out sector. Our ability to offer a full turn-key solution at an economical cost is a much sought assistance for cinema operators”Aidan McMullan (Owner of Cinemascape)
The firm look to the future and are determined to continue to offer the highest quality of products and services and feel with the continued demand for innovation in design and comfort the company aspire to further improve and develop.
